Using the Google Pixel in 2024 - Review!

The first Google Pixel & Pixel XL were fresh, unique flagships that started Google's current smartphone line- replacing the Google Nexus phones outright. How does the Google Pixel in all its "really blue" glory hold up 8 years later?

The first Pixel advert was so good that it convinced me to buy the 4a when I switched to Android and I'm using a 7a to this day. Solid smartphones.

I still use this phone as a Spotify machine hooked up to my home speaker. Set Spotify to play on it, then use my current pixel 8 pro as a remote control.

I still keep mine, infinite uploads to the cloud is more valuable now than back then. I just transfer to the og pixel than upload.

I remember getting the pixel 3a. It was the first phone I owned that had great haptics. And that camera was so good

Genuine question..why do old phones get slow doing even the most basic stuff that they were doing when they came out..for example just using the ui, opening the play store, watching YouTube etc.

I wish to own an old Pixel phone with the 2 tone back and the pixel book (Chromebook). I just think they would look fantastic next to each other.

I bought this phone just prior to the pandemic and it was my main phone all the way to 2021. Even tho the phone was over 3 years old it still held up very well. It really blew my away with UI and smoothness. It worked flawlessly. Def one of my favorite phones that i owned and used.

I believe the 821 might be a bit rough nowadays, but man the 845 of the s9 and poco f1 aged well, I know 5 people still hapilly running galaxy 1 galaxy s9, 1 poço f1 and 3 galaxy note 9s. Man the Samsung aged well in every aspect, surprisingly even battery life is usable on the notes.

I remember the pixel 1 was thicker at the top snd thinner at the bottom. This was too explicitly avoid a camera bump. Such a cool design feature that most didn't noticed

I miss the squeeze feature on my old pixel 4. It was so helpful to launch the assistant or the flashlight.
