Kia Sportage OWNERS: Brighten the road with upgraded headlights

Watch as I replace the halogen bulbs with HIDs in this Kia Sportage S. The halogen bulbs light up the road just fine, but they don't have a nice appearance with the warm color temperature. Installing HIDs will increase the light output of the vehicle as well give it more of a modern appearance.

I use basic tools and zip ties to complete this job.

The white cloth is to absorb humidity inside the headlights so water doesn't condensate inside

I installed CAN BUS Ballast HID's for the head and fogs for my wife's 2019 Sportage LX, no error messages from the dashboard. My 2012 Sonata are all HID's too....

The white pouch is a desiccant pack to absorb moisture.

That white material is used to keep moisture to a minimum in the headlight assembly

Whwn you turn high beams on does intensify the light or turn it back to a halogen color. Had an older car that the hids did that

brother its been more than a year, what are your current views on the hid? has the heat caused any minor/major damage to the projector due to heat? secondly due you think its wise to get 55watt setup.
lastly whats the longest time you have kept the beam on during night drives.

Hi, I have the same suv with the same headlights. Here’s the question I mount HID & afrer 5 mounts I noticed that the projectors are starting to get weak. I have tool for measuring the light & the light is lower with the HID & with the original bulbs. The question is did the HID have more heat & burn my projectors?
