My Top 5 Pond Fishing Baits for Bass. Bank fishing a pond. These are my best 5 baits for ponds and will catch you more fish. The reason for these 5 baits is because they will allow you to bring less gear and be effective at catching fish. I don't know if you have ever done this, but I used to bring 3 or 4 tackle boxes, a backpack, drinks, snacks, phone, keys, 5 rods, and the list goes on and the weight goes up. All that stuff can weigh you down and prevent you from focusing on what you came to do, Catch Fish! These 5 baits allow you to only using 3 rods, but it is slight modifications to these 5 baits to allow you to give fish a different presentation.

Everybody swears by the spinner bait. I'm hard on my gear and always end up bending the wire arm, then spending time trying to get it to run straight. Haha. I usually just throw a chatterbait instead.
