TIPS FOR COMMISSIONS

Just a few tips and tricks I've learned after opening commissions recently! My first time seven years wasn't the most enjoyable, but I'm having fun this time!

Artist Loft Watercolors (Don't buy, they're poopy!)
Simply Simmons brushes (1/4" angle)
Preston's Touch brushes (20/0 round)
Strathmore 140lb. coldpress watercolor paper

Good info for people new to the art-for-money game. At times it feels all too secretive on the end of more experienced artists, and I think that passing that info on to the less experienced folks is alway a good thing! I hope you're doing good business with the commissions you've gotten so far!

This really helped. If I were to sell my art I would charge them for the amount the supplies costed. Say paintbrushes were $5.00 I would add that. And if paper was $6.00 (idk). Sometimes if materials were expensive I would cut the price of that in half. Usually my total is $20-$30. But this still helped

this was super helpful! im new to commissions, but have been drawing for a quite a few years now and im finally having an art style i feel that is my own! so i wanted to open commissions and the past few weeks ive been ironing out details. i feel the same way when it comes to my sketches, but i feel like maybe if people would want to buy a sketch commission then i can add it! im getting all of teh things settled and its coming together i cant wait! :D
