.. ."Blessed Assurance" was written by Fanny J. Crosby and composed by her dear friend Phoebe P. Knapp at the Knapp Mansion, while visiting with her in 1873. Fanny Crosby blinded since 2 years old. As an adult she wrote many beautiful hymns throughout her lifetime, Although a very humble person, she was award many honors during her lifetime. I believe there is a child in all of us with the desire to play the piano. I believe like me many long to play not for an ounce of recognition rather a longing for those things that help us connect with the Great Spirit ...its a soul thing, a God thing. Like dancing too! ... my life i do not understand for i ended up precisely the opposite of what id have thought... many a bump along the way... great regret and shame too... anyway MUSIC ahhhh it heals the soul.
