Hmm as a user of the old Xperia 10 it feels so strange to see this review, because Xperia 10 II it's hands down a really huge upgrade from the the old one. It's better everywhere but speakers. Speakers is really little of a let downt. To even head it against iPhone SE wich in sense is a premium device for people who want a smaller screen, isn't really fair. For me it works so good. Sure speakers isn't that good at least if you watch a movie in landscape because the sound isn't reaching bith your ears equally. Sounds better in portrait. Manual mode isn't that good either think it uses the wrong lense. But just the format, screen and Sonys implementation of android makes it works smooth. Sure it's no premium but I can live with this. One more positive thing is, it's not heavy as other brands it feels premium with light feeling.

It's not really a phone for Sony fans I think. Because it's in sense only in design it looks and feels Sony. Software is fare away from Sony and the only real callbacks is music app and camera app (wich ain't that good as we all know) The rest is all Google so maybe this phone are for people who wants Sony design but with Google software and Sony's take on manual mode. This is a Google One device wich many reviewers seems to forget. I ain't sure i would choose a Sony device next time around because let's face it, Nokia, Motorola and if Google at last let their pixels released in Sweden could choose those, they all feel as Sony in software. I chose Sony because of the screen, no notch and 21:9 and no hole in the screen for the camera. Motorola has 21:9 but they do have a hole in their screen wich makes it a deal breaker for me.

So Sony is the only company doing headphone jack, no notch, no camera hole in screen, just that in it self makes Sony the better choise.

the market for this phone seems to be people who watch a lot of movies en series. the aspect ratio the build the great screen the headphone jack the expendable memory decent battery. it all points to a pocket cinema.

I gotta say this is my favorite phone review I've seen and I've seen a ton. I love the clear crisp video of the actual phone and your review captures all the right points. I have the 10ii and absolutely love it. I've always loved Sony (since the Walkman days) and to me it's all about build quality and manufacturing and Sony nailed it with this phone. Gorilla glass 6 front and back and a frame that feels like anodized aluminum without ugly antenna bands I'm happy ! Great review looking forward to more.

I'm on Metro that uses T-Mobile's 4g LTE bands 4 and 12. No issues with my wife's Xperia 10 II and my 1 II in The Bay Area 💪

i was stuck between the iPhone SE and the Xperia and kinda still am... the iphone is a lot more expensive in South Africa... and the Sony is kinda the same....

Yes a good phone. With cool desgins would be great full to experience this the phone. Am really in need of one right now trying to save to buy a good phone but it's a struggle for me worst I am not going to school still October so Amma need a phone for online class
