I think in Taylor’s case, withholding clues on her ethnicity was very reasonable because APPARENTLY she’s the only person playing the game as truly intended, and secondly she’s a biracial and clearly raised more in touch with her Caucasian heritage to the fore, so I think conversations about culture clash a la Cameron/lauren are less applicable here

Also the guy (forget his name) who was saying not knowing Taylor’s ethnicity is part of her being calculated gave me weird vibes.

The way Leo keeps leading with how rich he is makes me question if he's actually rich. NGL I began to feel like maybe he's a scammer. His aesthetic does not match old money, he hasn't talked about any hobbies or travels that would alude to being rich(or rather we have not been shown such conversations) and also the only expensive thing he keeps flaunting is the Rolex watch. Something is off.

I don’t agree with the Taylor and Garrett take. IT IS calculated that she decided to withhold her mom’s name, however, it protects the integrity of the premise of the show. G immediately jumping to the concept that she was hiding something because she didn’t want to give her mother’s name was a red flag for me (it translated to him possibly not being open to all races and ethnicities which comes off as ignorant to me, giving the premise of the show). Like, he literally sounded concerned and even followed up with I’ve only dated white women in the past (it really was giving hol on na, I ain’t into certain ethnicities) It’s supposed to be love is blind…I feel like race and ethnicity should only be a broad, generalized conversation giving her moms name would’ve immediately given away what she could possibly look like…if you’re not open to whatever race, culture, religion or ethnicity the person could possibly be, you shouldn’t go on the show.

Correction: Alexs parents both have M.S. They're divorced. Her dad got remarried, and her stepmother takes care of him. Her mom never remarried but had a long-term partner of 15 years. Her committed partner of 15 years is the one who left her, while her ex-husbandand, who also has M.S, has a wife who stayed with him. Thus validating to Alex the value of marriage versus a long-term committed relationship .

One thought about Taylor: Asian women are fetishized A LOT by white men so she might not want to bring it up for that reason. But I do agree that I wouldn’t marry someone without discussing those cultural differences.

I can’t lie, I got choked up a little bit when Alex spoke about her parents both having MS. I, too, battle MS and having my spouse in my corner is a blessing. Many women experience what Alex’s mother went through smh

I feel like part of Hannah’s concern about Nick is the fact that women told her how a flirt he was with them, that he is probably a womanizer, that she should not go for it especially if she has a better connection with Leo

Idk it’s love is blind so it made total sense to me for Taylor to not want to disclose her ethnicity but saying that her mom’s name would be too much info is itself too much info and lets him know she’s not white. Him then calling her calculated felt really unnecessary to me. It felt like he was uncomfortable knowing she’s not white the way he went about it.
