Only 106 Republucans voted to have Santos removed, 112 Republicans voted to KEEP him.
It was only the 206 Democrats that actual voted to remove Santos to have him removed.

I agree with the restore trust thingy. Every congress member (535) should release their taxes. As well as their should be term limit to avoid corruption. Figure the President serves maybe 4 years. 8 if they get lucky. But the other life timers in congress? 🤷

Look, there are scores of Democratic Congress members today have ethics issues that would make your head spin. Like one who had her family on the Congressional payroll and used her influence to get her husband on the board of a bank in Los Angeles (Maxine Waters). Or one who had been hanging out with terrorists in Gaza years ago after refusing to participate in a bipartisan fact finding tour of Israel (Rashida Tlaib). Those situations are dead serious. Not that I’m excusing what George Santos did, but there are some members who have done more serious things that would be more damaging than what Santos did

no, sadly, trust will not be restored, and yes, it was right to expel him. allred couldn't even say specifically what was in the report that justified the action. allred's lack of specifics then turning it into a campaign stop saying cruz has to go and he's running against him, vomit. further proof he's as swarmy as the rest.
