Man Flies Over 23 Million Miles Using $290K Lifetime Pass

A New Jersey man is one of the world's most widely -traveled fliers. In 1990, Tom Stuker invested $290,000 in a lifetime pass with United Airlines. The 69-year-old man is a car dealership consultant who travels the world on business. Since his investment, Stuker has flown nearly 24 million miles, been on more than 12,000 flights and traveled to over 100 countries. His travel tips are to get the app for the airline you're flying with and to always be nice to flight attendants.

As a frequent flyer myself, one of my favorite memory of a non-flyer is a lady who got in behind me at security and was talking about how long she and to wait in line for her coffee. I didn’t have the heart to tell her she’d better drink her coffee in the next five minutes because they didn’t allow drinks past security. Sure enough, she had to dump it a few minutes later. I felt so bad I talked to her afterwards and bought her another coffee in the terminal.
