● Steroid = inhibits Osteoblast, whose function is bone formation. So, Steroid causes osteoporosis.
How Steroid causes Osteoporosis ?
By inhibiting bone formation by:-
1. Apoptosis of Osteoblasts & Osteocytes.
2.Inhibit intestinal Ca++ absorption.
3.Increase Renal excretion of Ca++.
4.Causes Secondary Hyperparathyroidism

I really learned a lot from this video. Thank you. I am trying to have a dialogue with my endocrinologist to determine why I have a senile case of osteoporosis. i have high ca in blood and urine and very high inflammation in my body.
