I knew from the very beginning that Ukraine wants to draw as many Russians as possible to the wrong side of the river in Kherson, as there seems to be no other rational reason to loudly proclaim and hype a coming offensive

I just hope that its a really well thought and sound plan and not just a hastily organized distraction to raise morale.. failure will be catastrophic for Ukraine.

Today is 15 September, a month and a half since this video was posted. There have been some amazing turns of events, with Russia being chased out of most of Kharkiv oblast and Kupiansk and Izyum taken back from the invaders, along with huge amounts of equipment and matériel.

Great stuff. I think UA will try to split the ground in 2 initially at say Snihurivka to control the rail, early before RU gets its ducks in a row. Unlike donbas, cutting RU supply lines is easier in Kherson. Also somewhat divide and conquer may be more manageable than 1 large RU force with shorter front lines. The N/East section is more vulnerable to RU than the S/West and Kherson city. Kherson city will be slower grind. Better chance for UA if they can halve the RU troops when trying to cleanout Kherson city. With more western ammunition this could be very successful. The issue could be that dam despite that it supplies Crimea cause RU doesn't give a shit about anyone but RU. Anti missile weapons would be good covering the dam and Kherson City. IF UA gets back Kherson, the west may ramp up supplies while RU is at its weakest

Nova kakovka is a dam not a bridge. since WW2 to destroy a dam would be a war crime. Which is why Ukrain are not targeting it's structure. They are however attempting to destroy the approaches. This doesn't mean Russia wont destroy it when Ukraine retake the area to release vast amounts of water and further destroy anything downstream including Kherson.

So the Russians have already taken hard beatings in Kyiv, Mariupol and Severodonezk with minimal return of their large manpower investment. If they want to do the same in Kherson, they show that they haven't learned nothing and have no regards for human life, even that of their own soldiers. Putin and his circle are acting out of desperation, I wonder how they will react when it is checkmate on the battlefield and they can barely save their own positions in Russia. Chaos incoming. Hopefully, by then, the functioning of the Russian state is so much impared that orders of nuclear or other mass-destruction attacks are unable to be actually carried out.

The main reason for weird advance of Ukr. Forces is because of restrictions in counteroffensive. Its prohhibited to advance without heavy weapons, and there is still not enough of them in the army.

Frozen conflict? Not likely, Ukraine is fully mobilized and training new troops every day, at some point they plan on having 1 million men in uniform.
