People may not like Chaos Island's remix here, but we need to remind ourselves that this is an extension of Sonic Generations, where if you don't like a level's song, you can unlock more tracks and simply replace them. Maybe for Shadow Generations, we can unlock the base Chaos Island theme from Frontiers and use that instead.

Me personally, I think that the Chaos Island Act 1 brings a bit of storytelling to the table. I think that the begining of the song represents Shadow's confusion since he has never been there and then he gradually gets a hold of what is actually going on and where he is. I like it when songs are trying to tell a story to the listeners and I think they should attempt this more often in the future.

Personally, I like this remix of Chaos Island. The more I listen to it, it grows for me. The electronic part for me, sounds like a persue. Shadow is chasing Black Doom and he wants him to be defeated once and for all. He reminds him of his dark past that Shadow thought he has left it behind but not completely I guess. So the first half represents his rage, anger, determination and seriousness. The second one, where piano comes in, it represents Shadows soft side. He has lost Maria and that still haunts him but he still remembers the promise he has made to her. Even though he has got Black Dooms' blood, he still has got soft part inside him. And that's why I like this track. It's a balance between seriousness and determination, and between being soft and caring. At least, that's what I think about this track.

I kinda like it the way it is. Cyberspace Levels had EDM/Rave inspired tracks, so I see this as a What if Chaos Island had a cyber space level.

Sonic fans in general are so split when it comes to music in general. Some people hate certain games soundtracks and just want things to be nothing but Genesis twangs and Adventure style music and I think that's dumb. When Sega branches out and does something unique with the music we get some memorable OSTs. Anyone remember how funky Rush was or how Unleashed took inspiration for music from around the world?

I think the intention behind the Chaos Island remix was to make it sound similar to what you'd hear during battles and mini bosses.

I love EDM, specially in Sonic when it's done well, but they're going for an aggressive "dubstep" approach in almost every track which many people, including me, don't enjoy

One thing that annoys me is how Sonic Team, recently, just takes music thats decent or even great and goes "but what if we just put an EDM filter??"

Its like the cyberspace themes in Frontiers. Very few of them are bad, but they dont have the hype of old stage themes. Like, would an electric guitar have hurt that much?

Uhh... what? Bruh is it really that important just enjoy whatever music you like there's no reason to get at eachother's throat!! We just have different tastes in music so it's normal some of us may not like chaos islan remix.

I like the effort of fusing the calmness of the Chaos Island motif with the vibe of Cyber Space, but they really should’ve used a less scratchy synth. The Cyber Space stages in Chaos Island in Frontiers are a lot more chill and less in-your-face than others, so it would’ve made more sense to go the softer route in my opinion. The second half of this remix does slap though.
