Cheery Preisser's tap routine is kind of wild and crazy but for some reason I kind of like it. She only appeared in three shorts but she did appear on Broadway for awhile. June Preisser appeared in a number of movies as an actress and acrobatic dancer in the 1930's and 40's. Sadly in 1984 at age 64 both her and her son were killed in a car accident.

Her name was Cherry, not Cheery. She'd actually been christened "Cherry Blossom Preisser, " so it was her legitimate name. She later married the son of Harry Hopkins, who was one of FDR's top advisors. She had seven children (six daughters) before dying at age 46 in Australia.
