My Nissan 240SX got some new Tein Street Flex coilovers!

I've been talking about new suspension for a while and I decided to finally install the Tein coilvers at the same time as my big brake kit update.

Very detailed Cadillact CTS-V Brake upgrade part 1:

Nice to see someone else building an S-chassis for something other than drifting. Drift, Grip, Drag.. They're great platforms for anything you could think of!

The rate is definitely a good choice. I personally street raced (stupid, i know) a lot back in the day and I had a similar set of coilovers to these and had absolutely no issues taking corners at really illegal speeds... I had a 10 mile canyon I ran every day for a few years and in my 240 + a turbo it was very good. I tried stiffer springs and it was slower overall for sure. I think 6-7k is perfect along with the front and rear being matched. I've had 8/6 before and it's more understeering and 10/8 is just so bumpy that you can't get any grip on anything but glass smooth roads. Tein does get hate in the 240sx community but they do make a polished product compared to some other brands... I am looking forward to seeing how they perform for you!

Good deal, glad someone understands its not all about stiffness to go fast =P I have Bilstein PSS9's with Swift springs on my car.

Sweet!!! I am going to upgraded my spring/shock combo in the future for my MR2 and have been looking into this brand.

I have these on my s15, really nice and soft which is what I was looking for, pretty sure these can get quite stiff when adjusted!

didn't the car already come with coilovers?? I could of sworn I seen powered by max coils you could of just set it up to your liking and change the spring as well for the stiffness.

Darn it Eric, I've put 100k miles on mine (Tein Type Flex) and would have told you to go with something with a lot better compression (Bilstein, DA Koni, Ohlins, etc).
