It appears your spool cap is too big for the type of spool of thread you are using. Switch to the medium spool cap. The large cap for that spool of thread is causing thread hiccups which can cause shredding and more.

Did the embroidery machine keep doing this? I hope that's not the case because I'm considering this machine for purchase, and my husband won’t be able to assist me LOL!
