as a grey main, I would say the other star power is more effective on maps w/o set location objectives(some examples are heist and hot zone) and are really essential for being a team player (not saying either SP are bad, and each have their own better game modes)

I don't think this star power is right...
Two reasons:
1. The heal star power can be used to engage with enemies with more health.
2. It also heals your teamates.

Past gray main here, I was using damage and vision gears, very useful, also the other sp is more efficient than this one

On the last one I always make sure that I hit before teleporting or that my enemie can be 2 shoted or is not accompanied

Other starpower is better for escaping, tbh, it heals you every time you use super

Heal passive is much more useful, you can get free hp, if you was in dangerous situation
