Nice, I did build it with a gu-50 and it did work well. I got 1 to 2 cm sparks.
I ran it directly from a transformer (so with ac) and it worked.

I use 811a valve and my secondary is 1250turns and primary 7 turns. I have 5cm spark and neon bulb can work 1.5m from vttc
