The Behringer family of digital mixer have an emulation of the EMT 250 reverb. It's called the "Vintage Reverb" and it is included in the built in list of plugins in the consoles. It's also in the Midas M32, MR18, and the rest of the M-Air line.
It's identical in look, sound, and operation in each of the consoles, and control software.

In this video I spend the first part going over the reverb's terms and the controls, and then in the second half demoing those same controls and putting the reverb on a snare.

The Vintage Verb is typically my drum reverb unit in my default X32 / XR18 mixer configuration.
I show my baseline drum/snare setting for the Vintage Verb and how I adjust it from those points.

I also exaggerate some of the reverb settings to better demonstrate the range of control it allows the operator.

Following the information here, and learning the controls and their meanings, you can adjust the reverb for other sources, besides just drums, including vocals, and create and fine tune the sounds you are looking for.

I thought I'd do an FX tutorial here for the X32/M32/X-Air and M-Air series of mixers and see if there's any interest in these... and whether anyone wants more of these. This one is on the "Vintage Verb" (EMT250 Emulation). One of the things with the Behringer/Midas consoles and this idea, is the effects plugins are all the same across the platforms. Viewers could have, or be using, any of the family of X/M digital consoles and this information would apply and be relevant.

It's a bit of an experiment in how it's best to present this info. In this video I did the first part discussing controls and terms, and the second part with less narration, and more just a demo of the reverb settings in action, with mainly onscreen text so that the narration didn't get in the way of listening and watching the control changes.

LMK if you want more of these, even a series of Behringer FX tutorials, and which ones. I kind of think the Combinator could use a video like this, but maybe there are other thoughts out there on this.

I've been using Rich Plate on drums and it's ok, but I can't wait to start using this Vintage Reverb now that you've helped me understand all the settings. And being able to hear what changes in sound occur with setting changes while you explain is priceless, more xr18 fx videos please. Thanks so much Alan, you're an awesome teacher!

Fantastic! I just had this effect open last night and was playing around with it. Your valuable info helped make more sense of the front/rear, etc. Hungry for all things XR18 - I know how much work you put into these video! Thanks Alan

Your tutorials are great! You really have a knack for explaining complicated subjects in simple terms. And you cover the topic pretty comprehensively while still keeping your videos concise. I'm not even doing much mixing these days, but the videos are so well done that I watch them anyway just to learn. Kudos

I’ve got a tc electronic DVR 250 controller and plugin that is similar to this, and this tutorial really helped me understand the formerly mysterious multipliers!
I was until I watched this, trying each preset till I found something close then tweaking the overall reverb time. I really like this reverb and am glad to see it in the behringer/midas effects. Great vid!

I picked the Xr18 from my brother, I did a bit of playing around with my boss loop switcher that I use for guitar pedals, I can now control the mute groups for Fx returns now to mute them between songs which I’m hoping will be handy! Also I’m hoping to use the snap shot function to change around the effects slots to get different sounds per song for the guitar allowing me to have full wet/dry/wet guitar out Foh with only using a 57 and a little fender pro junior amp! Thank you again for all these videos they are very helpful for someone coming from using a 20 year old analog desk !

More effects tutorials yes,
Stereo delay is one that comes to mine. I just discovered that clicking on the display changes settings or so it seems.

Hola, gran explicación de la reverb muchísimas gracias. Pero por alguna razón el sonido del video está en mono. Y la reverb no permite escucharse con la amplitud stereo, ... suena en mono.

Hello! Can I ask you to make a video on how to set up the XTEC EQ 1

Would you recommend having a dedicated snare drum reverb or would you route the rest of the drums to the same reverb? Maybe a bit quieter.

Do you only use this on the snare or do you route other drums through it as well? How does routing multiple channels through the same FX bus change your approach with the FX settings?
