Another great one guys, a complete explanation of how to properly create a shower. But I don't have the patients to do the small mosaics due to the fact that they are never centered properly on the mesh backing!

Is it difficult installing glass shower doors and setting their weight knowing there are no 2x4's underneath to screw the doors on?

Everything is perfect other than Penny tile is not suppose to be installed on a foam pan because of point load. Penny tiles and tiles smaller then 2inches as stated by Schluter Systems have the ability to crack and punch into the foam pan. A mud bed would have been a much better shower base.

As a blood born Yinzer, it was great to find you guys (videos). The renovation is definitely doable...just a lot of moving parts to plan out before getting started.

Question: I see you left some of the existing, painted drywall in place and just tiled over it. Is it better to start with new drywall, or doesn't it matter? Tiles will stick fine to the painted drywall?

This was amazing! Don’t think I’m brave enough to try it myself though!

Great video - videos like this give me confidence that I might one day be able to redo my shower.
Would it have been possible/desirable/advisable to tile the ceiling in this case? I don't see a lot of tiled ceiling in bathrooms but I'm thinking it might not look bad.

You guys are doing a great job! Thanks for all the info.
Question: Roughly how many screws/washers would it take to use for the kerdi board in a tub/shower surround (from tub to ceiling)? They seem to be sold in 40 or 100 packages. Just wondering how may I would need for my project. Thanks.

Shower looks great!

Just curious - why'd you decide to leave the ugly tan floor tile?

Thanks for the video!!! Great info as usual. Just a question, have you ever installed schulter shower system in a condo bathroom? I was wondering if it is allowed at all. Thanks in Advance!

More than twice the work and more than double the price. 1. Install purple drywall. 2. Apply thin-set and burn into purple drywall. 3. Apply Kerdi membrane and flatten for air gaps. 4. Apply tile. If you were to use a product like GOBOARD you would just 1. Install GOBOARD like drywall while sealing joints and screw head with polyurethane caulking. 2. Apply tile.

It's nice work but that top row on the accent wall looks terrible. The bottom row and top row of a wall should be equal.
