Hey y'all. It's 2019 and I wanted to experiment with something. No, I'm not converting to an anime channel. This is still an EDM first channel. I would argue that this is one of the best anime adaptations ever made. To think that they took this manga and made this anime is just... wow. Everything was different while also staying completely faithful to the manga in a weird way and EVERYTHING was done better!

One of the best stories in manga/anime. A real heroes journey. The episode dealing with the death of the young woman who took care of the orphans was gut wrenching.

The transition from 0:29-0:44 always kills me inside. Before i ever watched the series i had only known about him being born with an improper body. *THAT* timestamp sums up everything about the series perfectly: the visual of Hyakkimaru's pain due to the loss of Mio, into rage, then being shown Dororo+Hyakkimaru/Mio hugging followed by Hyakkimaru getting himself back up to keep pushing on. *AND THE VOCALS AS ALL THATS BEING SHOWN????*

I watched this version first without realizing that it was an Osamu Tezuka manga, and that there was a 1969 version of it. So I went back and watched that. It only made me appreciate how amazing of a job they did on the remake of it.

Yep this anime is so good. I wouldn’t say it’s underrated, but that’s because I’ve never heard anyone mention it. The intro is so moving and emotional. Especially thinking of the horrors both Dororo and Big Brother have faced throughout the anime. It’s just so perfectly done that it illicit every emotion discovered in the show.
