This is a taste test/review of the Red Baron Pizza Melt in the Four Cheese variety. It is crispy toast topped with pizza sauce, mozzarella, yellow cheddar, provolone and parmesan cheeses. It was $3.33 at Kroger. 1 serving (151g) = 410 calories

I saw something online where Red Baron is offering a love it or its free promotion for these. You have to go on their website or something and submit your receipt if you didn’t love it.

I was actually at our Kroger-owned store when they were putting these out for the first time. They were the same price 3/$10-$3.33 each. I bought this one and the Supreme. They aren't bad but they are over-priced. You'd be better off getting a French Bread pizza. I don't see these making it if they don't drop the price. They are barely selling here and it's been 3 months now.

Do you think it would've toasted more if you cooked it longer? I noticed you chose the low end of the recommended cooking time. (It's usually a trade-off, the longer I cook bread it either turns to rubber or turns to stone...)

These are alright taste wise but in my honest opinion I don’t see the value being there. I could make 10 of these at the cost for jusr 1 of these.

Thanks for sharing this ... I'm always finding myself leaning towards conventional oven approach .. I don't know why? .. it's probably because in the past it seems to give them a nice golden brown topping finish I don't get with my microwave. Same thing for small personal pizzas .. I just like that extra crispiness the oven seems to provide ... excellent
