For removal of seaker..effective majority is used i.e. 50%+1 of effective strength (effective strength= total- vacant seats )

Effective majority is used to remove speaker, i.e, all the then members present and voting, so vacancies are not counted.

Chairperson of rajyasabha ( vice president) cant head a joint sitting just because he is not the member of any house of parliament .. sir do clarify 🙏

Speaker can be removed by the Lok Sabha by a resolution passed by an effective majority (>50% of total strength excluding vacancies)/ (simple majority) of the house as per Articles 94 and 96. The Speaker is also removed on being disqualified for being Lok Sabha member under sections 7 and 8 of Representation of the People Act, 1951.
