asking my black friend a few questions about white privilege

What do black people mean when they say White privilege? I ask my good friend, John to explain some of the disparity that he has experienced in his own life and to share a few thoughts on how we can ensure that there is fertile ground for everyone to succeed.

😊white privileged here, , I was born white and my privileges include being denied the right to apply for a higher position at my company because they had to promote a black first, , And there were no blacks in the company that were able to pass the requirements for the job, Their performance showed they could not do the job because of lack of math skills and lay out skills, , So their solution was to ask me to train a black to do the job..And after he was given the job, , I would be next in line for the next promotion! That is my white privilege at work.

I have been listening to Stamped from the Beginning by Ibram X. Kendi. It goes through the history of racist ideologies and shows the ways that white countries have been racist and hurt and suppressed Black people. These videos fit in really well in giving a well rounded view about where we are as a country,
