Exams Vs Coursework

It honestly comes down to what the pupil best excels at. Personally, I have never struggled with coursework and I've always been on top, whereas exams were pure hell for me; recalling a lot of information was always major struggle. Not to mention, the several detrimental mental health problems I suffered after completing the GCSE exams. Furthermore, GCSE's should be reformed in a way to allow for flexibility on students who would benefit from choosing what type of assessment style is fair on them. I am by no means trying to imply that exams should be abolished, as that would be unfair on those who are naturally better under those conditions.

I agree completely should just do theory in lessons so that everything has been learnt instead of coursework and gaps of knowledge when the exam comes

5:15-5:24 i think coursework cos u can have help while ur doing ur work, as well as u can do research & b creative.

5:15-5:24 whereas exam, some topics don’t pop up in exams cos coursework is basically topics u’ve covered like 99% of the time.

5:15-5:24 + my memory is quite bad.

5:15-5:24 i feel like i learn better with coursework than exam, but some students do better in exam than coursework - we just have different preferences
