1/2 scale, R/C prototype, nice.... if it works that way, it should work full scale, as long as the carrying capacity isn't exceeded.

The future tho, I think, is digital... first design a 2D blueprint, then, a 3D model, then, a "Digital Clone" which is just a realistic simulation, that should function as a prototype.

That way, you can just make the final product straight out of a digital prototype, and it should not only be a safe way of testing the models, but also cuts down production time greatly, from idea to final product.
