I just love a metal roof, nothing beats the peaceful sound of rain coming down on the roof while you sleep 😴.

Y’all did so good on the roof. My house is over 50 years old and I just got a new roof. In the 2016 flood my house got 6 feet of water and I had never flooded. I live in Louisiana and the flood was called the 500 year flood. Now I have to get flood insurance. I wish I could fully explain the trauma of having to rebuild your house. I’m 77 years old. I feel so sorry for all the people in Florida. I truly know how they feel I don’t wish it on my worst enemy if I had one. Y’all are such a sweet family. Cherish each other everyday. I had 4 children and 3 have died. Your life can change in an instant. God loves you and I pray many blessings on y’all. Be safe

Great job on the roof. As far as a few stains it won't ever be noticed and it brings to mind my dad's favorite saying. "It's good as long as a blind man can't see it from the street".

Doug I love the way you handle mishaps like the roofing material, your attitude definitely shows anyone watching your videos how to move on and make the best of the situation. You are amazing and very humble. I am so excited seeing all the process f the home and Ashley’s car.❤️❤️❤️❤️

I agree 100% with you Doug. I always want to buy USA made items, but it's getting harder to fine. Need to leave businesses here in the US. Doing business with people who hate us, like China and wanting to trust the product they made... I just don't understand.

Some days I am too lazy to finish my laundry and then I watch today’s post and hey…. I am inspired to see how great you two are getting the job done snd I see how small my job is in comparison. Thank you Doug and Ashley ! ❤

A painter taught me a trick for dealing with slippery roofs. Use upholstery foam to kneel on the roof. I used an old sofa cushion and removed the fabric.

Hi Doug and Ashley! The roof is looking very good! The most important thing is your safety. So I'm glad to hear you're alright! The house 🏠 is coming along nicely and you're doing such great work. I liked the comments people were putting up about having Bella doing some artwork, I think that's a great idea becuz she is so talented! It would be great to show off some of her artwork in the home, it makes it more personable. Thank you again for sharing your life with us! Also one more thing, I agree with you Doug, if American made is put on a product, all of it should be made in america!

Ashley I am still so impressed with how you can go up and down the ladder. I never minded going up it was the coming down that I could never master, even when I was very young!!!!

The sunset 🌇 was beautiful! Ashley should take some of her pictures and have them enlarged for decor!

Hey guys. Better that the panels are too long rather than too short! 😊❤❤❤

Looking good, guys! Thanks for sharing what you have learned about things said to be made in the USA but really aren't at all. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could go back to the days when "Made in the USA" really meant just that. So sad...
