It's a beautiful Bible! 😊 I only wish they had left all the text black rather than highlight verses or passages associated with the drawings in gold. I guess it's not necessarily a dealbreaker, depending on one's aesthetic sensibilities or tastes, but it may be a slight annoyance.

I bought this Bible months ago in the Black Leather Soft and I absolutely love it! What a beautiful Bible. Very elegant and well done.
The artwork by Gustave Dore and the gold drop caps the lettering is amazing.

While the font is 10 point, the print is too light for those of us nearsighted folks. I agree the gold print is hard to read.

Gustavo Dore also did illustrations for the Apocrypha, sad to say none of the "Dore bibles" contain them

Nice looking Bible. I feel it's unusual for hardback Bibles to have gilded page edges. Am I wrong? I prefer the HCSB over the updated csb. I've yet to purchase the csb.

I was told by Holman that it is 36gsm.
