I would like to add this because some people are overly worried about Japan's population decreasing to 85 million in 2060.
For example, Japan's population was 85.8 million in 1952 and 43.8 million in 1900. The overpopulated world population will simply return to its original state.

Nearly every fully developed nation has a birth rate below replacement levels, or will have a birth rate below replacement levels within the next 5 to 10 years. Yet I see and hear ad nauseam from vloggers of Western nations how China, South Korea and Japan are "dying because their birth rates are so low", as if the same phenomenon is not occurring within their own countries!

Japan also has both the longest average life expectancy AND the longest average HEALTHY life expectancy of any country today. Yet comments for a recent short about how elderly Japanese continue working were rife with coping on how they must be forced to do this, how it is equivalent to slave labor, and how this "proves" that Japan is a collapsing society.

China surpassed the US (my country) in average HEALTHY life expectancy for neonates roughly a decade ago, according to data from The Lancet, a peer reviewed UK based medical research journal. As China, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea have continued to increase their average life expectancies and average healthy life expectancies, both criteria for national health have steadily declined in both the US and in the UK. And as Japan and Singapore maintain world leading universal healthcare systems, this does not even exist in the US.
