Building Your Vision on the Scaffolding of Structure

When we think of improvisation we think of jazz.
But each time we paint we are also improvising. Over and over.
Just as a jazz musician improvises off 'a standard' - a structure - we need to improvise off a structure.
That structure helps direct our improvisation.
