I downloaded the game in 2022 and EA still hasn't patched it.

Finally a YouTube video that's easy to understand for people like me who have a hard time reading about downloading files and dragging them into boxes and folders that make us confused on where to find them.

Edit: if I minimize the screen and go back into the game the screen goes black.

bro i did not expect this to work, different folder and seemed sketchy. it worked. just bought and downloaded it today and had the black sreen problem. this video fixed it. instead of origin games folder or whatever in the video it was C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer Red Alert II

2021 it works, I wanted to say thank you so much I'm a huge CNC Red Alert Yuri's revenge fan, I haven't played this game in years I just purchased it online yesterday I couldn't play it I got a dark screen with sound, by following your tutorial I got it to work, I'm no computer wiz if I can do it anyone can its easy and worth it thank you so much !

Having an issue where after about 30-40mins the screen automatically minimizes then goes black if I try to bring the game back. All you can hear are the sounds but no picture. I have all the files listed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Minimizing the game still cause it to black screen with sound only but hey ! at least we can play it now. Still playing with the same passion I had for the game when played it for the first time 15 years ago ! Thanks for sharing.
