I have 2 of the chair lifts at home. Boys and girls club of sevierville had a silent auction and they had maybe 20 chairlifts for auction. They were the ones from the fire. They eventually auctioned all of them I believe. I kept bidding until I won 2 of them. I have numbers 57 and 69, the years wife and I were born. How cool is that.!

One time on vacation in Gatlinburg in March it was snowing so hard we were walking by the skylift I told the wife let’s ride the skylift. She thought I was nuts but we rode it up and from up there you couldn’t see downtown at all. You couldn’t see the space needle. It was wild. We rode back down and could see the Gatlinburg Inn when we got over river road. How many people have done that? I couldn’t pass it up. Might have been 2013. Not sure.

Cool video, we rode the ski lift back in the mid 70s. Beautiful up there. Been up there several times in the last couple years. Hopefully be back in June
