How to use Spotlight in Microsoft Teams Meetings

The new Spotlight feature lets meeting organizers and presenters lock their video as the main view for all meeting participants. This helps the presenter control the main video feed that a participant sees during the meeting.

It would be quite useful if there was an option where the person under the spotlight can also see themselves on the big screen. If I am presenting standing up doing a demonstration I cannot tell if my head is cut off screen or what is actually in view. MS Teams is a great option for companies to do presentations to internal departments and many times the viewers may have their cameras and mics off. It would be better for me to see what I am doing away from the camera almost like a monitor for my camera to ensure I am in view correctly and ensure my presentation is the best quality.

Thanks for the vid! We are having issues with the spotlight feature working properly with our attendees on iPads, iPhones and some pcs. They are all reporting gallery mode view only no matter who we select for spotlight. Any suggestions?

But, what happens if you spotlight someone -- a presenter -- while they are sharing their screen? Does their spotlight over take the shared screen?

Great! But how is this different from the Pin feature? I guess pin changes the view for only you, while Spotlight replicates the view for everyone yeah?

Thanks for this, do attendees need a certain version of Teams app to see the spotlighted person. I ran a test with a few people from outside my organisation and they couldn't see a difference with the spotlighted person when I spotlighted them even though myself and my colleague could.

We use team in mobile but when we share a screen n show any videos voice of that video can't be heard how to resolve this problem?
