Back in my day, my skincare was soap. Still at 30, it is just soap and maybe some moisturizer. But I live in a very dry climate so that is sometimes really required.

Also, the back in my day argument doesn't work, because every kid was different in every decade. When I was a tween from 2009-2012, I didn't wear makeup at all, and I knew plenty of girls who also didn't wear it, but I knew plenty of girls my age who had their faces buried in foundation and eyeshadow. It really depends on the kid, their parents, how much money they had, etc. It still applies today.
