Florida governor sends warning to Joe Biden

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has sent a message to the Biden administration, warning it needs to take the pipeline attack "seriously" following its initial response of "shrugging their shoulders" at the attack.

Colonial Pipeline was forced to shut down after it was the target of a ransomware attack believed to have been executed by a Russian-based criminal group – according to a former senior cyber security official.

The pipeline transports nearly half of all fuel on the east coast.

The attack comes as the Biden administration finalises an executive order to improve the federal response to cyber attacks.
