The major thing to take away from this is if you don’t properly close it you can damage and dent the hood with your hands. Just an fyi

I don’t think it’s hard to close either way. But just a warning, if you’re married or wear a ring, be careful not to let your ring scratch the hood when closing.

I am still amazed that Tesla doesn’t make it a powered frunk and I have to buy China parts to convert it. Early model 3’s didn’t have a powered trunk! Literally my only complaint about the car.

Just press on the emblem itself with your palm flat it works the best try it

Tesla actually made the Model 3 frunk easier to close in the 2021 (model year) refresh. You can even push it down with 5 fingers standing around the logo.

I just press the T and that's it. It's just a simple latch

The thing is sometimes I might only have one hand available. I usually put my bag in the frunk and I take it with coffee in one hand already. It’s a hassle to close the drunk with just one free hand

I just slam it closed. I drive a Hummer EV and I never use the auto open and auto close functions, just manual mode.

So I think the point is a piece of metal should maintain stability about 20% outside the recommended use application. And to be about standard with the rest of the industry. While teslas are remarkably forward and innovative flawed humans still operate them for now. Also, #updateTheModel3

A model x is the same way but the old ones don’t have powered frunk so they are just unusable usually
