The Skill Shot In Pool | Pool School

In this pool tutorial we look at the skill shot in pool. This is a shot available in various rule sets that allows a player to pot one or more of their opponents balls in combination with their own. It is a rule that allows for a more positive approach to the game and makes covering a pocket less effective than it is in world rules pool. The video looks at various examples of how the skill shot can be used and how the different rule sets effect how to use it. We also look in detail at potting two balls into one pocket, using bothe screw back and top spin. The shots are carried out on a 7ft UK 8 ball table.

I also play World rules, how about a video on tactical play/shots/getouts for World rules?

I am a bit confused how screwback transfers forward spin into the object ball. Does it have something to do with the time the balls are in contact with screwback? In any case, I will give this one a go.

You should make a video about the Pool Table Racking Cloth so we all know what it’s good for 😊

I don't understand 3:06
You said it was a foul in world rules to pot an opponent's ball, how is it not a foul here then?
Just because you didn't pot your own ball?

Good video, but 'momentum' is not the correct word/thing. It's the 'spin' of the first ball that takes it forward after the hit/contact. That's why at a distance, the first ball has time to pick up some forward spin. It's been a while since I played in the UK (I moved to the USA 10 years ago), so I'd be interested in a video to explain the differences between all the (you mentioned 3) rule sets? Here in the USA, the main sets of rules used in bars and clubs is APA and BCA. There is never the '2 shot' rule here, or 'open' table. And they tend not to count fouls that are NOT on/with the cue ball, ie. touching or even moving another ball with clothes or stick.

Forget the skill shots, how the hell did you creat that intro?? I have been rewinding and rewinding the video but I just can't figure out how you guys did it and it can't be CGI, and if it is... then I am quitting my film school.
