Показать описание
Today's review is about the Aeroperu 757-200. This model is very fantastic despite the mold dents on the sides. I bought this model from Wafflecollectibles for $28 discount.
Engines: Pratt & Whitney PW2037

Aeroperu Flight 603:
Aeroperu flight 603 was a passenger flight from Miami, Florida to Santiago, Chile with Lima, Peru as a stopover. On October 2, 1996, the flight had incorrect readings and malfunctions in the cockpit. The incorrect readings had false information such as incorrect altitude. The plane's altitude reader showed the altitude number much higher than the real height, which didn't give the pilots enough reaction time to lift the plane. The air traffic controller instructed a 707 to guide the 757. Before the 707 could help guide the plane, the left wingtip struck the water. By the time the pilots realized that they were too low, the plane struck with water with full force. All 70 people were killed with no survivors. This incident was caused due to maintenance failure. An aircraft maintenance worker forgot to remove a tape piece covering the static ports after some cleaning of the plane.
Registration for crashed flight: N52AW
