This explains how to undo updates you’ve made to your Roblox Game! Reverting game updates on Roblox allows you to recover your building and scripting progress if you accidentally deleted something and updated the game.

🛑 Want to learn HOW TO CODE on Roblox? Here are some helpful guides:

UPDATE: It's now possible to find the "Version History" page directly through the Creator Dashboard:

2. Find the game of choice through the steps shown from 0:17 to 0:29 in the video, then left click on it to be brought to the "Overview" page for the game

3. At the left side of the page, there are currently several buttons for various settings; selecting the "Places" button will show the places that are linked to that game (by default there's just one), which you can click on to be brought to the "Basic Settings" page.

4. From there, the "Version History" button appears at the left side of the screen, which showcases all the prior versions of the place, which currently works in the same way as 0:44 to 0:54 in the video.

*UPDATE (April 2023):* Roblox has finished moving the "Version History" page to their new "Creator Dashboard" site. As of writing this comment, the steps shown at 0:05 to 0:16 in the video to reach the "Configure Place" page still works. It should bring you to page with a layout that looks very similar to what is shown at 0:42 in the video (you should still see "Version History" at the left side of the page). Once you reach that page, you can select "Version History" and then choose a version to revert to, just like what is shown from 0:42 to 1:58 in the video.

Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Because the process is still nearly identical, with the main difference being that it brings you to a page on the Creator Dashboard that has updated visuals (with the most notable change being that the page appears in dark mode instead of light mode), I won't recreate the tutorial just yet. If there are more drastic changes that take place in the future which makes the process shown in the video completely outdated (for example, if selecting "Configure Place" didn't bring you to a page where you could see the "Version History" tab at the left side), then I'll start recreating the tutorial in a scenario like that. For the time being, I'll continue trying to help through the comments if you have specific questions. Additionally, you can access the Version History page directly through the Creator Dashboard (without needing to start from the main Roblox website first), with the alternate instructions that I updated the pinned comment to include a few months ago:

UPDATE (February 2023): Roblox has been moving over the place configuration pages to the Creator Dashboard this month, partially changing where you will need to go to revert to an older version of the game in the future. If the way to do that ends up being really different once it's been fully updated, I'll likely recreate this tutorial to reflect that. For now, if the old Version History page is no longer accessible, you can find the new Version History page through the following steps:

It's not as intuitive to get to the new page right now in comparison to the old Version History page but I'm hoping that once the new pages have been fully completed, following the steps of selecting the "Configure Place" button on the page of the game will bring the user to an equivalent page like shown at 0:42 in the video so that the process would remain very similar to how it worked when I published this video. Let me know if you have any additional questions!
