How can a Goldman Sach executive lead a left lining party?

Syriza's current leader was a REPUBLICAN when he was in the USA, that's so bizarre :D No wonder he split the party

The party had internal issues since 2015 when it formed a government.... Now these problems are just coming to surface and getting cleaned out

It never gets old hearing Greek names from non Greek speakers!

Goldman Sachs executive, Good Lord....

Some professional associations should tar and disqualify a person from "public service" for life: Enron CEO, Vice President of Blackwater, Human Resources at Amazon, "Efficiency Expert" at a Chinese phone factory.

But no, Big Money will keep propping them up for public office like it should be normal.

Meanwhile Americans are looking on from afar, wondering what it’s like to have more than 2 political parties.

Worth noting that Syriza under Tsipras was in charge when Greece sold two-thirds of the share of its Piraeus port to China.

Do with that what you will.

It started back in 2008 when alot of theyr economic policies came home to roost. And they were the ones that manage the 2008 economic crisis

When the window moves to the right does that mean we can go back to just being the right and not the far right?

Hopefully Greece, despite how it votes and such (given its one parliament house, not 2+), will go with my adaptation of 2 big tents of centre left or right (right being a little more so) and a third strong left wing party for government/opposition make ups. 😊

As a greek first I am happy that finally tldr talks about my country second i think the commentary was good with some exceptions like you didn’t mention that kaselakis is gay something that is controversial for a lot of greek or that his family are strong supporters of new democracy something that is again controversial. I personally don’t like kaselakis not because he is gay but I don’t like him because of his beliefs. He is just not loved either even the leader of the communist party is more popular that him in fact polls show that he is the most popular leader. I also personally don’t like androulakis but he is think more successful and seems to be more capable so yes

Are you gonna talk about the situation in Spain?

Syriza is divided between a populist faction and a hardcore leftwing faction. Kasselakis has aligned himself with the populist faction, so the hardcore leftists left. But the populist faction will find it very difficult to get more than 15% of the vote. They have a very devoted fanbase, especially online, but their toxic rhetoric (eg literally calling the New Democracy party pedophiles) makes it very hard to appeal to anyone but their loyal supporters, who are about 10-15% of the vote

No word about the communists who are very much a major force in the Greek political landscape?

Can we get one that restores Hellenic Paganism?

Is that really a political realignment? When another party scores 1% higher on a poll?
