This team has as much if not more talent than anyone in the country. The issue for me is the play calling on both sides of the ball. Also I don’t see the desire or IT factor in this team. They didn’t have the mentality to win at all costs compared to years past in my opinion.

Hey coach, how about this math, if you kick the PAT to go up by 5 and they retake the lead with a TD and PAT to go up by 2, then Bama wins with a FG at the end of regulation vs a tie. I don't recall witnessing a situation where a team started chasing 2 points that early in the game without a sure play call to get the 2 have it work out at the end of regulation in their favor.

in 2017, 2018, and 2019 we had 4 first round WRs on the team. In 2020 we had 2, in 2021 we had 1, in 2022 we have 0. It's been a steady decline at that position for 3 straight years.

Alabama just doesn’t get beat. They may run out of game clock and hurt themselves with penalties, but it is never a case where their opponents out right beat them.
Listening to Nick Saban both on and off the field never fails to lend a better understanding not just about a game but about life in general.
This is still the class act program in college football. This is what every team aspires to resemble.
While there may be a few in front of them, they haven’t been there as long and it is certain they will not remain there.

Look I’m a Bama fan, I love Saban, wouldn’t trade him for anyone in the world BUT.. Alabama has not looked like a dominant team in 2 years now. We used to go into games and win by 40 and now we are barely skating by in some and losing others. IDK what is going on but we need new coordinators and better WR’s. Bryce was inconsistent last night. I’ve NEVER seen him play that badly. Of the balls he did throw, very few of our players were catching the balls he did manage to get in their hands. I can’t harp on Bryce too much though bc i feel he’s been carrying the O-line most of this year. I don’t want to think the dynasty is over but I’ve never seen Alabama lose 2 games on the road back to back in a long time. Even the year Tua got hurt and LSU had an amazing team we only lost to them and to Auburn ( after his injury). It’s just upsetting to see Alabama fall off like this. I heard that the NIL is causing issues among players in the locker room. You have some players making a lot of money and some making none and that is creating division. However, if we are to overcome this then Saban has GOT to get rid of the OC at least and get us some amazing WR’s to go along with our great QB. A QB can’t do much without great WR’s and it was so glaringly obvious how bad we needed them this year. The difference between this year and last was Jameson Williams & coaching issues. We have most of the talent. It’s just frustrating. I know we can’t win every year but I haven’t seen Bama have a season this bad in a long time. I know some may think losing 2 games in a regular season isn’t that bad but at Alabama, where the standard has been set so high, it is.

I think guys like Bryce, Will, Jahmyr and Brian Branch all should just sit out the rest of the year and get ready for the NFL. Then Saban needs to bench a bunch of players and start playing a lot of the younger guys who just came in and start working on next year early. This year is over. Even if we lose more games we need to just get those guys experience.

Some of these comments really piss me off, Nick Saban is THE greatest college football coach of all time. Doesnt mean he’s perfect, doesnt mean he’ll always get it right or that we as a team will play to the level we have over the years. Times change, players leave, the game as a WHOLE changes. Kind of pathetic to flip on Nick fucking Saban whose done nothing but build this program up from the very bottom and turned it into a full blown dynasty. This problem lies within the culture and the atmosphere that Bill O Brien and Pete Golding have crafted- the constant bringing in of coordinators just as soon as they come out. It’s hard to build a team that never has more than one season to stay the same.
