Our Favourite Quilting Tool for Perfect Fabric Cuts

This would have to be one of our favourite quilting tools and we have been using it for years. The June Tailor Shape Cut allows you to cut perfect squares, rectangles, triangles and strips. We have both the Shape Cut and the Shape Cut Pro which is a larger version of the ruler.

Another suggestion, use some painters tape to mark the cutting lines. I have been know to cut wrong when in a hurry.

If you iron each strip with starch individually first, then stack and press them together, they should not slip during cutting. I only stack up to 4 layers at a time depending on the fabric.

That is useful tool. It might be a good idea to stack at least 4 layers first. That would make a lot more squares in less time.
