My Opinion on SSF2's NEW Official Tier List for 2025!

This tier list is so we can solidify our opinions before a new patch coming out (hopefully) soon. Feel free to skip to whatever character youd like to get an explanation of said character and depending on the character, my opinion too. This is the best tier list you are gonna get if you wanna know the general spot each character is placed in and hopefully we can look back on this and agree with it in the future (we wont). Cannot believe ZSS is number 1. I kinda see it though, she has great damage, great mobility and can even grab the ledge from the stage. Only thing about her is that she’s a bit reliant on her insane grabboxes

I completed understand how you feel about Ichigo's placement. I've always advocated for him to marginally make the top 10 but I know his representation is solid and can be explosive among balancing the rest of the cast. Great video

Kirby is tragic character in SSF2. He has been bottom tier for a lot of the demos (even creating a "Kirby" tier at one point), and when he finally reached mid tier status for a lot of Beta's lifetime, they then decided to nerf the crap out of him when he got that resprite and has not recovered since.

I play bomber man and if he can just force you off of all of the platforms on the stage during neutral, he can become really good maybe that’s why he is ranked higher than last tier last as neutral games have developed? I don’t really know why he rised

You see Luffy (10:30) is the most interesting here.
As you know, Luffy in 1.3.1.2 has his true SideB into SideB combo also called "Rocketto Ride".
Thing is, this tech was banned the first few days of 1.3.1.2 in Europe (early 2022).
Then it was banned in SA around March 2023.
But in NA, its still not banned.
So is the Luffy in this tierlist with Rocketto Ride, or without? Or a mix of both?? Like the combo is so strong that he changes tiers depending on if he has it or if he hasn't, so which version is he?

Pretty wierd to see sonic so high since non true extensions on top of laggy kill/combo move is usually a character killer but ig his mobility is just that insane
