This is the sound of my early childhood in Norfolk England in the very early 1950s.
I had never heard a steel guitar until then.
Everyone loved Hank, he resonated with poor country people.
It related to real life, you know, women trouble, booze and all that stuff.

what can I say about Hank Williams. If it was not for his rough life and a tough marriage these song probably would not have been written. And dont forget about all the back pain he suffered with. Jesus took something that was real bad and changed it to real good. He is good at things like that. He had a plan

This is indeed country music. Hank Williams sings his song from the heart. Not that trashy popcountry. Country when country music was country worth listening to.
