We are fascinated with some of the scenes from "Soy Cuba" (I Am Cuba", 1964) movie by the soviet filmmaker Mikhail Kalazatov, so avant-garde. This continuous scene, almost an impossible one, raises the camera with a crane, goes to handheld, and finally is hung with two cables over the street.

Recently Adolescence made news by using "single take" in lieu of editing to tell the story over 4 episodes.
Each episode was a SINGLE 1 hour long take.

Was wondering if Barantini was influenced by Kalazatov
