How to operate the Shifter in My 1938 Chevy Master. Lokar shifter.

Looks really solid. About to do one of these, are you running a Turbo 350 or a 400?

Does the gear you select light up on the gear knob as you select them?

Ok, so I'm assuming to have a turbo 350 or 400 in there and if I remember correctly there both 3 speeds... So is drive technically 3rd gear then? Can you start off just fine it it say you at a stop light or do you still have to shift to 1st or 2nd?

is it a floor mount or case mount. I'm looking at a floor mount b/c I'm not real excited about dropping the tranny for a case mount. If yours is floor mt does it seem solid or maybe a little flimsy since it all depends on the rigidity of the floor pan?

That sure is not user friendly to use your thumb for the lock out. They make a T handle conversion and I think all their shifters should have that T handle standard for a more user friendly shifter. Why would you use your thumb for this when you can pull up on the T handle.
