Blizzard SCREWS UP Yet Again (and People are NOT Happy)

Blizzard has screwed up yet again, this time angering the entire Classic WoW side of their community. What did they do exactly? Well, recently Blizzard decided to - for some reason - change the Classic Era realms. Updated UI, druids can now use polearms, new world buffs, etc. Why did they do this? Nobody knows. But one thing everyone does know is: People aren't too happy about things.

It's baffling because they HAVE a version of Classic WoW they can fuck with, Season of Discovery. Just add all these changes THERE and nobody would care.

Why don't they just leave the era realms alone and make classic plus servers where they start making these sort of changes. Seems weird af to start changing how the game works on the classic era realms. People clearly just want to play the old version of the game for better or worse.

Blizzard took down Turtle-WoW's unreal video via issuing a takedown notice.
Last night Asmongold was forced to take down his own video reacting to Turtle-WoW.
Seems to be having a Streisand Effect, a flood of new players all the sudden. Thanks for saying good things!

I hate Zygor ... why? not because it's a Pay-For-Add-On ... but because it's a "subscription" based add-on and you have to pay monthly. When I contacted them about this, they tried to "hide it" ... scummy scumbags ...

As someone who played Druid at release, I can tell you that they did have the ability to use Polearms until they removed it in a later patch of Vanilla.

I'm almost certain that these changes were intended specifically for Season of Discovery, and Blizz messed up and added them to era without realizing it.

It's the only way I could see this being justified

Here’s the thing that players don’t seem to understand. You have Classic Andy’s that want no changes to the classic era. Much like Nixxiom has mentioned. However, on the other side, you have those who wanted Classic era and now small added things along with it.

This is not a surprising case. Doing classic, day in and day out, over and over again, people will get BORED of doing the same thing constantly. If no change happens, the game/version will die. It’s the same thing that happened to OSRS, where it was released in the era of 2007. Players enjoyed it, but then got bored of doing the same shit.

The moment Nightmare Zone came out is when “OSRS” or “RS07” was no more. It became the equivalent of a private server. Classic WoW is following the same pattern.
