The Gearslingers do make great camera bags with the right insert.

I have a Monsoon Gearslinger as my current EDC and I love it. I agree that the Gearslinger series is a great concept but does put all the weight onto one shoulder.

Funny, I have both of those bags as well. I started with the Falcon 2 and absolutely love it. Got my Kodiak about 7 months ago for the simple fact that it has one strap and is easily swung around the body. However, it definitely puts a hurtin on you if you are carrying a load through the park all day with the family.

You just answered my question. My family and I are going on a cruise, and I was considering buying this as my EDC for my son's stuff. I've been on a cruise with my Falcon and it held up great. Plus I got a lot of 'cool bag' comments. I guess I'm sticking to Falcon 2 for this cruise as well. Thanks for the review!

I'm in a major dilemma. I keep wanting a kodiak for EDC purposes as I think it's the best sized sling pack on the market, but I too worry about weight distribution and if it's a problem, a two strap bag would be better. But then the thing is should I get a two strap Maxpedition bag? Or something with even more molle on it like a 5.11? If I choose a 5.11 Rush 72 as a bug out bag, then I can still get a moab 10 sling bag for work and just attach it onto the rush similar to a USMC ILBE system.

Ugh, first world problems.

So, do you think a Jumbo Versibak would better suit your needs?
