Your taste in games is top notch. I don't always agree, but you've recommended some bangers I've really enjoyed. Happy new year here's to another year.

I would be afraid to play a game with this bloke. He's straight out of a Guy Ritchie movie! 😊 Great channel!

Public service announcement: do not be like me and try to get the Mrs to play Stalker by telling her it's a game based on a novel called 'Roadside Picnic'. When it becomes apparent there is no picnic or even food, you will be faced with scorn and the smug look on your face will deny you access to a bunch of horizontal activities. 0/10 not recommended.

Glad you were able to get Trick Shot and liked it. It does an outstanding job of replicating ice hockey. Planning to get all of your top 4 at some point in the future. Great video and selection of games.

You do superb honest reviews. Picked up The Last Kingdom and Memoir 44 this past 2 weeks thanks to you. Well done 🙂

I didn't manage to get a copy of SETI at Spiel (too big and heavy to fit in the suit case) but I have one on order, so I'm happy to hear you're enjoying it!

Men-Nefer is worth checking out; lots of decision space, wonderful components and aesthetic, and lots of replayability. It hasn't gotten enough recognition.

Likewise I bought tir na nog on a whim
And was very pleasantly surprised. Great pattern matching and strategy game. Old Irish mythology theme is a plus.

Flip Captain (Thanks for the tip) and Castle Builder are the only games I bought that was released 2024. Loved them both.

Nemesis is the favorite game of my group and of all the times that we have played, the session was 3-7 hours and when someone is eliminated, it is usually very close to the end, it’s 30min at most that this person has to wait, which I wouldn’t even say wait, I would say rest, because normally we don’t jump to other games right after we finish nemesis. So I don’t understand why people complain so much about player elimination. It’s not that easy to die really quickly if you are not being reckless. Only way to die quickly that comes to my mind is being affected by a larva and that one event, but having a larva is normally your own fault; and dying to the queen tail attack with a serious wound, which already is not that early in the game

Great list. I just got Joyride myself and I agree it is one of the best games I have played released in 2024

I’ve not played many 2024 releases yet. Of the few I have, Tower Up is my favourite - a light, abstract, city building game with plenty of player interaction and surprisingly interesting decisions - it’s not by Knizia but feels like it easily could be.

Will have to check out STALKER when it hits retail. Honestly I overlooked it when it was announced, but happy to hear it’s been well received.

I’ve watched all your 'Best of All Time' videos and have been on a quest to collect some of your recommendations. So far, I’ve managed to snag Rum & Bones: Second Tide and The Adventurers: The Temple of Chac at decent prices. Every game I’ve played based on your suggestions has been incredibly fun. Thank you for sharing!

I love the list! There are some games I've never heard of or tried before—definitely adding them to my future plays. I completely agree with Stalker at number one. What a phenomenal game with an incredible one-shot system 'Zone Survival'. The replayability is practically infinite!

STALKER was my #2 game of last year, only behind Andromeda's Edge, personally.
