When do Qullamaggie trading setups work?

In this video, I explain how to find the correct trading environment for Qullamaggie style trading setups to work well, using MDB (MongoDB) as an example as of July 20, 2023. You will find that it is not enough to just observe that the Nasdaq index is going up, it takes more than this. I will also show you how to properly scan for the Qullamaggie momentum stocks in TradingView.

Note his historical returns. In 2020, they were crazy like everyone else, but in other slower years they are still 2x - 3x. Would be interesting to look into more historical data on the stocks that were leaders back then

7:55 the average day range(14) that you are including in your scan is an absolute dollar value, not a percentage. You can see your results are all multiple hundred dollar stocks except CVNA. You are only getting stocks that move $4 per day on average. You should use the monthly volatility parameter as that is % based and is closer to the %ADR. Your results should have more stocks that are between $10 and $100

Very well explained! I follow a similar strategy for Indian markets and somehow it just works. But can you please make a video on stop loss and entry points? I'm having a tough time with these 2. I either get stopped out or enter late because I fear getting stopped out. Thanks! PS - Subbed

May I think out loud here and ask a question? We have the idea about next generation of leaders, since the batch of current performers are yesterday's news and leaders, correct? Well, aren't those new stocks that are setting up, a smaller market cap group?? Shouldn't we perhaps be looking at smaller cap stocks for the younger/newer breed of stocks that are setting up?? Happy to hear everyone's thoughts.
