Learn snowboarding - Drift turn with up-unweighting
Показать описание
In this video we are going to show you how to make a drift turn with up-unweighting.
Once you've safely mastered the drift turn you can combine it with an upward movement. This will help you cross the fall line more easily and quickly on difficult terrain and at higher speeds.
The following exercises are quickly learned:
+ Bend and stretch your legs, firstly while you're sliding in the fall line
+ Then during side slipping
+ Now integrate the high-low movement into the so-called garland turn: While you're steering the board towards the slope, your hips, knees and ankle joints are bent – then straighten up - and at the end of the upward movement the pressure leaves the board and can now easily be turned downhill towards the fall line.
Now you're also ready for the first drift turn with up-unweighting: It's best to begin with a normal drift turn in which you begin a downward movement shortly before the fall line – at the end of the turn, the upward movement starts, combined with the weight shift onto the front leg – and as usual you also have to make the board flat. The turn is initiated by an impulse via the knees. Before the fall line, switch edges and now put equal pressure on both legs.
Have fun! Your Bergfex team.
